Mara Zupsich is visual artist and womenswear designer. She studied art and fashion at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before launching her career in NYC, designing for contemporary, luxury and lifestyle markets. Her work is informed by utilitarian and minimalist values, romanticism, 90's deconstructionism and 80's subculture. Her sensibility is rooted in her gen x youth, where she came of age at the intersection of fashion and music with postpunk, new wave, shoegaze and experimental dance music. She lives and works in the US.
